SWA Membership

SWA Members

The members of SWA are executive and administrative officers of agencies of children who have been selected to membership and who have been approved by the Executive Committee. SWA 8 State Region

Members shall be drawn from agencies in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado and New Mexico, which have as their principal business the not for profit residential and/or foster care of troubled, dependent and neglected children.

Qualifications

1. An eligible person must be employed by an agency which has as their principal business the not for profit residential and/or foster care of troubled, dependent and neglected children and is a qualified 501(c)(3) agency.

2. An eligible person must occupy a full-time paid executive or administrative position with planning and policy-making responsibilities.

3. An eligible person must be recommended by a current member and be approved by the Executive Committee and pay membership dues.

4. The membership of an active member may continue as long as they remain in the employment of a qualified agency and continue to pay dues.
