"Trust-Based Relational Intervention:
Helping Create Organizational Change"

Dr. David Cross is professor of psychology and associate director of the Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University, where he has worked since moving to Texas with his family in 1985. Dr. Cross and his colleague, Dr. Karyn Purvis, are engaged in a major effort to create, disseminate and implement high quality programs and materials for individuals and organizations who care for foster and adopted children. The centerpiece of this effort is Trust-Based Relational Intervention, which is a practical and effective program for promoting healthy outcomes with children and adolescents who have experienced relationship-based trauma, including abandonment, neglect, and abuse.
